Hello All,
I am a new xfce user and have recently migrated from Windows. I am not very well versed in the functionings of my desktop and am learning new things everyday!
I keep having this notification sign that says "(A) Disconnected Network" on the top right corner despite me being connected to a working internet connection.
Clicking on it dismisses the notification but it comes back almost instantly!
I am not sure how to make it go away, so any help in this regard would be appreciated!

Hello and welcome.
Which notification daemon are you using? That looks like dunst (which begs the question, why/how was it installed)?
ps -ef | grep -E 'notif|dunst'

Hello! I installed via
sudo apt install xubuntu-desktop
and I chose lightdm as the display manager.
And ever since I first logged in it has been there. I tried removing dunst using purge autoremove, but the notification still persists.
Here is the output of the command you had provided :

dunst is still there and running. How exactly did you remove it? Did you restart (or log out and back in again)?
What does the following return:
apt policy dunst
