Hello and welcome.
Looks like graphics corruption, but odd that restarting xfwm4 fixes it. Does clearing your sessions cache (delete the contents of ~/.cache/sessions when not logged into Xfce) help?
Otherwise, does your distro create an ~/.xsession-errors file? If so can you post after fresh login?
Or if is your distro is systemd-based, post back:
journalctl --user -b --no-pager
Edit: sorry, missed the archlinux note in your post.

If you're using xf86-video-nouveau try with modesetting ddx.
Also, start xfwm4 with --replace option in setting-editor>xfce-session.
xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /sessions/Failsafe/Client1_Command -t string -s wm_name -t string -s --wm-option.

I have done this before login, but it does not work. BTW, there is only one file in the cache directory.
$ ls -aR ~/.cache/sessions
/home/fish47/.cache/sessions:
. .. thumbs-IdeaPad-V460:0
'/home/fish47/.cache/sessions/thumbs-IdeaPad-V460:0':
. .. Default.png

I can confirm that early KMS does not help. (Did I misunderstand?)

adding --replace does not help either.
btw, Client1_Command may be wrong, so I replace it.
xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /sessions/Failsafe/Client0_Command -t string -s xfwm4 -t string -s --replace

No it's not early KMS. Uninstall the xf86-video-nouveau package and you will get automatically x11 modesetting driver (also disable any nouveau settings in /etc/x11/conf.d/xorg.conf or some other config file if you have it).

Finally, I switch back to nvidia propriety driver + lts510 kernel.
This post will be marked as resolved by the end of this week, if everything works fine.
// I got a screen freezing with nvidia driver + new kernel, so I need some time to test.
