Hey,
lately when I try to shutdown my computer using the standard shutdown button in xfce4-panel ;
* 90% it won't shutdown, but will close some apps, the second time I repeat the operation it shutdown effectively
* 10% it won't shutdown and brings me to lightdm deconnexion screen
I use debian stable (bullseye).
I don't really ask for a way to solve this, wether, I wonder how I could track what happens ; is it written somewhere what happened that stopped the shutdown ?
"sudo shutdown +0" always work, so I guess it's about being "gentle" and listen apps that ask for confirmation before quitting ?

Is there anything in ~/.xsession-errors when it doesn't work?

Seems that Anki does stop shutdown.
Maybe it's related to theses error that pops then

I think those messages have something to do with your web browser. It is quite possible that an app, in your instance Anki, is preventing the shutdown.
