Screenshooter is compressing images?

Every time I use Screenshooter the resulting image has compression artifacts. I don't recall it doing this in the past. Should it be doing this?

Re: Screenshooter is compressing images?

No it shouldn't be doing that. Is it just compression artifacts on the screen display, or also in the saved file?

Which distro, version of Xfce and version of screenshooter are you running? Do you have the compositor enabled or disabled?

Re: Screenshooter is compressing images?

Cheers Toz.

I'm a fool. File type selector in the save dialog/picker set to .jpg - I didn't even know it was there. Interestingly if it's set to .jpg the image will be compressed even if you choose to view it without saving first. I guess it was that which threw me.

PS: MX Linux 21, XFCE 4.16
