[solved]thumbnails not displayed in thunar for images on android phone

i have the Show thumbnails option set to always in thunar preferences.

thumbnails work for local and network images.

any suggestions?  thanks

Looks like a gvfs bug?

thanks Toz.  reading the bug report gave me the idea of mounting the phone storage locally which I accomplished with fuse mount program, jmtpfs, instead of using gvfs.  once mounted, the thumbnails are generated in Thunar.

I don't know if it is related, but i have a strange situation with $home/.cache/thumbnails folder. Thunar and pcmanfm-qt don't display thumbnails from this folder (both are working normally for other folders). Ristretto is showing pictures from this folder, but on the thumbnail bar in Ristretto there are no thumbnails shown. I installed KDE Dolphin and it working as it should.

This is the expected behavior of Tumbler, which generates thumbnails for Ristretto and Thunar: no thumbnails of thumbnails.
