Show icons in workspace

Hi guys,
Not sure if this is possible but can I have icons displayed in the workspace?
Check image bellow to see how its now.

So I wanted to have my icon open apps to be shown in workspace

It's xfce4-panel 4.18.1 at window scale 2x?

I am currently running xfce4.16 not 4.18

Ah okay, so we can't do much: below a certain size, the workspace switcher does not display icons (it is a widget that comes from a third-party library). It is necessary to increase the size of the panel or display the workspaces on fewer lines so that icons appear.

Oh ye I got it!
I am currently using stack workspace like shown in the pic above, in xfce4.18 would I be able to see the icons without making the workspace in a fewer lines?

No it will be the same, the bug cited above only concerns a particular case.

Ok got it!
I don't like to display the workspace on a line because it takes to much space and it's hard to see (check image)

Is there a way to make this smaller or tweak to be more visual appealing?

btw I put everything to default again and for some reason my secondary monitor doesn't maximize

Not that I know of.

That's a different problem, you should probably open another thread if the problem persists.
