Hey there!
I'm trying to set Super + D as a shortcut to show my desktop, but when I do that, I only get to open the Whisker menu, which uses the Super key.
Other shortcuts with Super seem to work well - like Super + E for Thunar and Super + R for appfinder - despite whisker still opening. But with Super + D, nothing happens other than whisker opening.
Any suggestion?
Thank you for your help!

Hello and welcome.
Unlike other DEs, Xfce considers the Super key as a modifier key only (which it is) like Shift, Alt and Control. So setting a shortcut to just Super, will affect all shortcuts that use the super key. The way around this is to use xcape.
As for Super+D not working, what command are you tying to the Super+D shortcut?

Thank you for the prompt reply ToZ.
Unfortunately, xcape is missing from the repo of my distribution, and I'm struggling to build it. I will give you more updates once I manage to either install xcape or build it.
Thanks again!
EDIT: I don't know what command it is for Super + D, I have configured it in Window Manager --> Keyboard

Right, there is a shortcut option there.
Which distro are you using?

Oh, nice!
I'm using PCLinuxOS.
EDIT: managed to build Xcape, everything works like a charm. And thanks to this, Xcape seem to be on the way to the repo as well, which is great news for other users. Thank you for your help ToZ!
