File Operation Progress Icon? [SOLVED]

Hello All,

For as long as I can remember when copying something with Thunar there was always an icon displayed in the notification area, or status tray plugin or whatever it's called.
I found the use of that icon quite handy to remove clutter from the window buttons if I had many windows open while copying, I could just click the icon to make it appear or disappear to check progress etc..
Now it seems it's a window button only while the operation is taking place, the icon is no more.
I've tried different themes and it doesn't seem to appear with any of them.

Was that icon display function removed with 4.18?

Thanks

Yes, it was removed. There is a work effort assigned to re-introduce it in 4.20. See: https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/990.

Re: File Operation Progress Icon? [SOLVED]

Thanks Toz,

Nice, will be good to eventually see it back again.
That link also answers another question, I was wondering why when I had Transmission open in the past it was a single left click on the tray icon to show or hide it, now another click is required.
The tray/notifier thingo has been completely re-written big_smile
