Morning all,
Interesting to note this morning, that after doing a fresh install of Debian 12 Bookworm - Alpha 2 onto my new SSD I notice the Whisker Menu Editor is still greyed out.
Not a problem I thought, make sure everything's up to date, over to Synaptic and add Alacarte. Doesn't work. OK, added Menulibre, nope, that doesn't work either and oddly xame is no longer listed in the repositories, Git-hub or Git-lab.
Hey ho.

You also have make sure that the menu editor executable is entered in the plugin's Properties Commands tab. Have you set it there?

Yep, still greyed out.
Being a 'Pre - release Alpha' I suppose there's going to be the odd glitches here and there. I'll wait for the next Xfce4 update from Debian and see if it cures it. If not I will enter a bug post on Whiskermenu Plugin.

Is the menu editor executable that you added to that field in your path?
...and:
$ which menulibre
/usr/bin/menulibre
