Hello people,
I am using Xfce4-panel with status systray.
There is a choice to hide icons from the systray plugin. Panel systray Hide/Unhide function.
Currently, Network-Manager (NM) input/icon responds weirdly.
After every boot, I have to give the NM icon a check-mark again to hide it with systray-hide function.
This can be done, but the previous NM inputs also remain.
The NM lines build up over time. Looong list . . .

After two months, this was completely full and is getting fuller after every boot.
I reinstalled the system a few days ago. *The list in the pic is from a few days.*

Hello and welcome.
I see this as well, also with dropbox. This is because the app itself is passing different names to the the tray. There is an existing enhancement request to try to deal with this.
The way I get around this is to set the plugin to hide all items by default and then selectively choose the ones I want to appear.
Please remember to mark your thread [SOLVED] to make it easier for others to find

Hi TOz,
I will try that. I was not sure this was the right place for asking, because of using Openbox instead of Xfce.
Thanks
