i make use of the profiles in Firefox. today, i needed to create a new one. this new profile created a new look for Firefox. i normally use Firefox in fullscreen mode with multiple workspaces for multiple instances of Firefox. i created yer another profile and it did the same. if this is really a Firefox bug, i don't expect a solution, here. but i am wondering how anything can cause a window header to be omitted this way.
i am linking to 2 images showing the original (a different profile that previously existed and still exists) and the new (the curious one) profile. both of these links are each going to 1920x1080 PNG format images (HD,2X):
image 1: an old profile, 119746 bytes,

image 2: a new profile, 122998 bytes,

since the header is missing in the new profiles, there is more display area to use. i'd like to know how this gets set an if i can do it without changing the software or the theme.
anyone have any idea what is going on with this?

Looks like the title bar is enabled in the first image and disabled in the second. Right-click on the toolbar, select "Customize Toolbar" and select the Titlebar option in the bottom left of the configuration window.

yay!!! now i have the titlebar turned off for all of these. it does look like it's a new Firefox default for new profiles.

This solved my similar problem with an added title bar in Librewolf that I did not want following my entire Librewolf profile being randomly lost and addons (ublock and another) removed. Thanks ToZ, I forgot this option in (in my case) Librewolf.
II don't know what happened because I did not update anything. It happened at around the EXACT time as your OP, Skaperen, ie. just over a week ago! On a proper reading of your OP it seems just been a coincidenceof timing because you were creating a new profile.
In my case, after the same restart of my PC the custom Whisker Menu settings were lost, I now must restore my Librewolf profile and Whisker Menu. Highly bizarre, I'll make a new topic.
For those interested in creating profiles, maybe this little resource could be helpful, It contains a fetch from M$ but seems okay. Neocities, I2P
Thanks ToZ for solving!
