Pulseaudio speaker volume icon on panel bar indicates mute

Pulseaudio speaker icon on panel bar is showing indicator of muted/ disabled, and correspondingly the MP4 player playing is not generating any sound

Anyone know how to fix, which package is missing as its dependency?

Re: Pulseaudio speaker volume icon on panel bar indicates mute

Hello almahdi,

try to reinstall alsa-lib alsa-oss alsa-utils esound pulseaudio pavucontrol.

look at your /etc/asound.conf ,with pulseaudio by default you should see this
pcm.default pulse
ctl.default pulse

check if "pulseaudio sound system" is checked in the "xfce parameter" "session and start-up".
