Hi, everytime I come back after launching the "xfce4-session-logout --logout" command I see all my apps not running anymore (example: Firefox).
Can I do a logout keeping all my app and windows running?

Thats what logout does, though. It logs you out of your session and closes all the apps. If you want to keep the applications running, you need to lock your computer instead (xfce4-screensaver, light-locker, xscreensaver) - this will preserve your session.

what if I use "xfce4-session-logout --switch-user"? it is the same thing of your proposals?

"switch-user" will only work if you are using a display manager capable of switching users, like lightdm. The effect will be the same. It will suspend the current session (not log it out) and offer you the login screen to log into another user. Similar in nature to locking the screen.

You can try saving your current session before logging out.
