Missing Window Title Bar <SOLVED>

Running current Manjaro/xfce ver. 4.18.4 on a GPD Pocket 3, after updating Manjaro, my window title bar is missing, including window buttons of minimize, maximize, etc. There's space for the title bar but it's invisible (eg: in Thunar, I can see top of the desktop instead of the titlebar). In Window Manager, choice of Style/Theme has no effect. The panel itself remains intact. There is no ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

Compounding the strangeness is that this issue does not present on a GPD MPC, running exact same updated specs.

Any idea what's going on?

EDIT: further investigation shows that the window buttons (minimize, etc) are actually there, just not visible. So weird.

EDIT2: Solved. Window Manager Tweaks/untick "Enable display compositing" Yet ticking same in MPC does not produce invisible title bar. One of those things...
