Hi,
I've connected an old LCD 32" TV with hdmi inputs as my main display.
I'm also using another 24" LED monitor as a 2nd display.
I've selected 1920x!080 from the resolution pull down menu.
The desktop on the TV is cropped at the top/bottom and sides.
Any fix for this?.
How can I add new resolutions to the Settings->Display pulldown menu?.
Thanks

Greetings!
As far as I know, Xfce's resolutions shown on the "Settings > Display" pulldown menu are being set by the binary driver for your graphics card/built-in gpu. What works generally well for me is to first use the LCD-TV's own setup menu to pre-set the expected/default resolution and/or "letter-box" format -- some experimention may be necessary. After that, ensure that xfce's setup is matching the TV's. Sometimes the hdmi-cable may have to be re-plugged to force the devices to properly sync.
Mismatched resolutions usually show the kind of problem(s) you're experiencing.

Thanks, but there doesn't seem to any option on TV menu to fix that.
It's an HDR set ( so max resolution 1366X768) and Ive selected 1920X1080 (HD) ffrom the Display menu.
