putting gnome-calendar in the system trey

Running xfce-4.16 on FreeBSD, so if the answer is update it, I'm fine with that. As the undated orage is my preference this is more about learning configuring the panel. Mt panel has 3 sections. The left most section more or less adds in the default panel2, i.e., applications I want easy access to. Then there is the workspace map and the system tray taking the minimum amount of space on the right end.

So I tried gnome-calendar because I did not know that orage had been updated. Installing gnome-calendar in the system tray made the tray take up all the middle free space. I found no way to restore the panel without replacing .config/xfce4.
