Thunar does not remember the icon toolbar configuration

Hello everyone.
I have some problems with Thunar (MXLinux 23 with Xfce 4.18). When I configure the toolbar icons everything is fine and they fit my settings, but if I open a second Thunar window or if I close and reopen the current window everything goes back to default. I have tried as root user (he is the only other user on the system) and instead everything works fine. Where can I look to correct the problem? Where is the icon position saved? I would just create it with root and import it with the standard user.
