Panel over windows

Hi all!
I'm running xfce4 4.18 on debian 12. Whenever my laptop wakes up, the windows show up partially under the top (and only) panel. I have then to unmaximize and the maximize each window. This happens even though I have the panel options never to hide the panel and not to show up over windows,
Is there any trick I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

Re: Panel over windows

Hello and welcome.

Can you post back the panel and display systems of your system:

xfconf-query -c xfce4-panel -lv
xfconf-query -c displays -lv

Also, can you run xfsettingsd in debug mode, wait for or initiate a sleep/wake event, and post back the output that is generated?

And finally, the output of your current user journal after this happens might also be useful. To keep the journal log entries short, log out and back in again, initiate the sleep/wake event, and then post back:

journalctl --user -b 0 --no-pager

...in case something interesting is logged there.
