How do Xfce GUI set a magnet torrent app as default

How do we do Xfce GUI setting, by left icon of panel bar then Default Applicatiom, a magnet torrent app., eg. transmission or FDM, free download manager, as default

never succeeded as never such finding in search filter

please help

I usually do that by right-clicking a file in Thunar (the file manager) and choosing "Set default application" (or "Open with Other Application" and checking box "Use as default for this kind of file").

Also there is a program "Default Applications" in the Whisker Menu (Settings), and it can be run from terminal as

xfce4-mime-settings

PS. If the program you want to use is not in the list of programs, with "Use a custom command" you can set a full path to the application binary.

Try to right-click the torrent file in thunar and selecting "Open With" > "Open with Another Application", and selecting FDM from the list of applications and enabling "use as default". If FDM isn't in that list, you can select the "Use a custom command" option:
