How come xfce4 terminal suddenly can't show arabic letters / UTF-8 char. as it was although in preference char. encoding is set by: Advanced > Default char encoding > Unicode > UTF-8
no other letters set either than English, eg. Russian language
$ locale
LANG=
LC_CTYPE="POSIX"
LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
LC_TIME="POSIX"
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
LC_PAPER="POSIX"
LC_NAME="POSIX"
LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
LC_ALL=
but file:
$ cat /etc/locale.conf
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_ADDRESS=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_IDENTIFICATION=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_MEASUREMENT=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_MONETARY=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_NAME=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_PAPER=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_TELEPHONE=id_ID.UTF-8
LC_TIME=id_ID.UTF-8
