How do i run Xfce4-Panel without sudo

so i decided to format and install zorin os 17 on my computer. when trying to launch the xfce panel with xfce4-panel in the terminal, the terminal returns:

(xfce4-panel:24973): Gtk-WARNING **: 09:17:37.373: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:1072:18: 'border_color' is not a valid property name

(xfce4-panel:24973): Gtk-WARNING **: 09:17:37.374: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:1499:18: Junk at end of value for margin

(xfce4-panel:24973): Gtk-WARNING **: 09:17:37.374: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:1527:14: Junk at end of value for margin

(xfce4-panel:24973): Gdk-WARNING **: 09:17:37.477: Native Windows wider than 65535 pixels are not supported

and it doesn't launch, but when i run using sudo xfce4-panel, it launches normally but does so from root. it's very buggy when launching from root, so how do i fix it where i don't have to launch from root and start using xfce4 normally?

Re: How do i run Xfce4-Panel without sudo

Is the panel not starting automatically when you log in?

Are you running "xfce4-panel" using your login account?

Are you connecting locally to the computer (as opposed to something like VNC or RDP)?

(xfce4-panel:24973): Wnck-WARNING **: 09:17:37.465: libwnck is designed to work in X11 only, no valid display found

What kind of video card to you have?

Your xorg log file may also yield some useful information here, as it doesn't seem to be finding a valid display (which is odd if the root account can). Can you post the content of that log file?
