Can Thunar copy permissions along with files and folders.?

If I copy a folder the permissions won't always stay the same.
Is there a way to make Thunar copy permissions along with files and folders so they stay exactly the same.?

You could create a custom action to use the command: cp -p

Yes thank you, that might be the way to do it.

However since a special configuration is needed I get the feeling it is not very important, and it might lead to some unwanted implications.
I already have a script that can set the permissions the way I want them, so I guess I will just keep on using that instead.
