[SOLVED] Ctrl + FunctionKey seems reserved to the OS

Hello,

I am working in IntelliJ and I want to assign Ctr+F4 or Ctr+F5 keys to some shortcut, but they don't work, as like I did not press them. On other OSes it works, but in my XFCE linux does not.

I guess these shortcuts are reserved for the system?
I checked Keyboard-Shortcut  and they seems "free to use".

Thank you

Re: [SOLVED] Ctrl + FunctionKey seems reserved to the OS

To start, Xfce is NOT and OS. Xfce is a desktop environment designed to be install on Linux, Unix and BSD and there variations.

For me CTRL+F1-F4 switches workspaces. If I added another workspace CTRL+F5 would likely work as well.

Ofcourse XFCE is not an OS, I wanted to say that I tried Windows and Mac.
Thank you eriefisher, indeed that was the problem, I cleared those shortcuts and now it works.

Cheers
