HI,
The mailwatch plugin shows an error sign on its panel icon in case it couldn't access the mailbox. The sign can be removed by manually viewing a log thorough the plugin's menus.
Is there a way to clear the log from the command line?
Thanks

As of version 1.3.1, the plugin supports remote-event functionality. This means you can run a command like:
xfce4-panel --plugin-event=mailwatch-2:refresh:bool:true
...and replace the "2" with the actual widget ID of your plugin.
This will refresh the plugin.

Very interesting thread ..
Until now, I've had no need for this plugin. However, I'd like to try and get it to work with Mozilla's "Thunderbird" client-side IMAP app. Would you happen to know how to configure this plugin's local mail boxes (3 IMAP accounts, each with its separate "Inbox")? This would help some of my folks that came from the Windows & Mac side where they are used to the app's button jiggling when they've got new mail.
Thanks; cheers, m4a

Another option is to use birdtray

Works well with latest Thunderbird + Arch.

You can configure the plugin to monitor various types of mailboxes. Just fiddle with it to the one you need.
