[SOLVED] reactivate window maximizing by clicking on borders

Hi,

until XFCE 4.16 (Debian 11) it was possible to maximize a window vertically or horizontally by double-clicking on its border. Seems that this is not longer supported in XFCE 4.18 (Debian 12). I understand that a lot of people don't like that feature so it was deactivated (see [1]) but I got very used to it and miss that option. Is there a way to reactivate that behaviour?

Re: [SOLVED] reactivate window maximizing by clicking on borders

Hello and welcome.

That bug report was to make the double-click on border action configurable. By default, it was expanding the window and some users didn't want that. The developer rejected that, meaning that it should still expand as you are asking. Only that's not working anymore either.

Best way is to create another bug report to see about re-enabling the default behaviour.

Hi, ToZ,

thank's for the info and the warm welcome. I'll create a bug report.
