Polkit problem
I'm kind of newbie but I wanted to report that today I installed Debian 12 Bookworm choosing XFCE as my DE without ticking the option "Debian desktop environment".
The result: XFCE installed without the package policykit-1-gnome.
I was trying to run Gparted .desktop file but nothing happened and after a long search I realize there was no policykit installed.
Just wanted to let you know.

That's something you'd be better off reporting to Debian
