Hello everyone,
I always liked Xfce a lot but it seems to not play nicely with my 1440p monitor.
My problem currently is that the icons inside the Tasklist buttons do not scale past 36px which looks weird on a panel with a height of 68px.
I tried increasing the desktop scaling itselve which works, but that increases the size of everything else as well which looks weird on a 1440p screen, so I need an alternative.
I can use the gtk css file but that makes the icons blurry.
The starters scale correctly with the panel size tho

Hello and welcome.
Which version of Xfce and more specifically, version of xfce4-panel are you running?
You can also give the xfce4-docklike-plugin a try - it uses a different icon scaling method.

Hello ToZ,
Im currently on Xfce (4.18) with the xfce4-panel (4.18.6).
The docklike-plugin does scale properly for me, tho if there is a Method to do it with the xfce-included Tasklist I would prefer that.

The challenge with icon scaling in the tasklist is that the tasklist uses libwnck to get those icons and libwnck provides, I believe, only 2 sizes. And using css will only blur the icons as you've noticed.
In anticipation of Xfce 4.20 I believe some work was done to improve tasklist icon scaling (the code needed to be migrated to also support wayland). I'll have a closer look when I have access to my developer install later today to see if tasklist icon scaling has improved. Perhaps @Tamaranch will reply if he sees this post as well.
Edit: I can confirm that in 4.19, the tasklist icons scale continuously.
