Hey,
on debian bookworm ; light locker 1.8.0-3 ; I don't understand why closing my laptop's lid keep locking the screen. My config seem correct, but it still locks every time regardless.
$dconf dump /apps/light-locker/
[/]
idle-hint=false
late-locking=false
lock-after-screensaver=uint32 0
lock-on-lid=false
lock-on-suspend=false
It's a bug isn't it ?

Just remove light-locker. If you need to lock the screen you can use screensaver.

Well, I'm also interested in reporting a bug if there is one, so it'd be nice to confirm it as a start before going on the workaround route.

Removing light-locker is not a workaround as it's not part of the XFCE4 desktop environment. It's a fork of Gnome Screensaver design to work with Lightdm. Xfce4 screensaver will take care of this for you. I can't confirm it for you as I don't have it installed. If you still feel the need to report a "bug",

Done. https://github.com/the-cavalry/light-locker/issues/170
As a side note, it's interesting because i really was confused with the use of gnome stuff (you can configure part of it using gsettings), and it make sens now.
Because it was one of the default dependence solving. But now I see I did have options indeed.
$aptitude why light-locker
i xfce4 Dépend xfce4-session (>= 4.18.0)
i A xfce4-session Recommande light-locker | xfce4-screensaver | xscreensaver | gnome-screensaver | mate-screensaver
I wonder why the default isn't xfce4-screensaver ; xscreensaver's author being infamous for being a dick at Debian ^^' (but I guess it's just a funny anecdote at this point). I'll try some of my options. Thanks.

Well if you prefer another login manager over lightdm then light-locker is of no use to you. As you point out above, it's just a Recommend and not a Depend.
