Re: can't change mouse/cursor theme on xfce4

Hello and welcome.

Do you happen to have an ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini file? And if so, is a cursor theme indicated there?

Re: can't change mouse/cursor theme on xfce4

Try running xfce4-settings in debug mode:

XFSETTINGSD_DEBUG=1 xfsettingsd --replace --no-daemon

...and try changing the mouse cursor using the dialog. Post back the output that is generated.
