hey I cant change my cursor theme and I'm stuck using the advaita cursor
when i try to change the cursor theme , it still not change
- xfce version: 4.18.6
- distro: fedora40
- how did i install xfce4? : dnf groupinstall xfce -y

I've tried to set the cursor theme using
- ~/.Xresource
- xfconf-query
- gsettings
- use different cursor themes
and none of them worked , here is a list of packages i have installed if it helps

Do you happen to have an ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini file? And if so, is a cursor theme indicated there?

the file does not exist but JIC i made it and filled out my cursor-theme , still no change

Try running xfce4-settings in debug mode:
XFSETTINGSD_DEBUG=1 xfsettingsd --replace --no-daemon
...and try changing the mouse cursor using the dialog. Post back the output that is generated.
