How to make screensaver-screenshots?

I tried to make screenshots from some interesting screensavers in progress, but the screensaver disappears, if I try.
Some ideas?

I haven't tried it but you could try adding a delay to the screenshot then starting the screensaver. It should take a shot while the screensaver is running.
