If you are talking about status notifiers, there is an option in the Status Tray plugin properties to "hide" certain indicators (individually or by default). This has the effect of adding an arrow to the list of indicators that you can click on to expand the list and show the hidden items. This look kind of like the cinnamon drawer.
If you are talking about other panel elements, you can set the panel to auto-hide and hover your mouse over the panel will make it visible. You can create an additional panel to house the components that you want to auto-hide if you want only a subset to do this. This would functionally work like bartender.
Please remember to mark your thread [SOLVED] to make it easier for others to find

And the only way I've figured to go about getting rid of the arrow for the list of indicators is by removing the utility itself like blueman..or is it the only way?!
