Bug with Thunar shortcuts in desktop?

Hello, I've set a Thunar shortcut for "Move to bin" with ctrl+backspace. When I'm on thunar I can select a file, press ctrl+backspace and it'll go to trash, but if I use that shortcut on my desktop it does not work, I have to manually right click and press "move to trash".

Any ideas on why this happens?

Well it's been 9 years, I commented on the issue, hope someone will notice it and fix.
