How to highlight work space with some application open on it

Hi , in my panel I set the  Workspace switcher to button, could be nice if is possible to highlight the buttons that is not the current one but have some application open on it in order to distinguish to the work space that is empty.

I did a screen shot to show better what I mean.

I check this documentation but I didn't find the information: https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-panel/theming

Thanks

If you right click on Workspaces and select properties. Alongside Appearance you can choose Miniature View and that will give you at least the icon of whats open on that workspace.

Thanks for your answer, I know this option it is the default setting but I prefer the button view of workspace to keep the panel minimal.
