Issues with libraries after installation of 23 Libretto

I just installed MX-LINUX 23 Libretto AHS. I had 21.3 AHS before.

I tied to install some applications I had on 21.3 but I get errors for some libraries.

Namely I am installing espanso  ( espanso.org ) which was installed on 21.3 and the result is that espanso depends from:

libwxbase3.0-0v5 (>= 3.0.4+dfsg)
libwxgtk3.0-gtk3-0v5 (>= 3.0.4+dfsg)
libwxgtk3.0-gtk3-0v5

which cannot be installed.

Any suggestions?

Re: Issues with libraries after installation of 23 Libretto

Hello and welcome.

It sounds like the application that you are trying to install is looking for libraries that don't exist on your distro. This isn't really an Xfce problem, more an issue with the application itself and the library versions your distro provides.

I do notice that on their website there is an appimage available - perhaps you would have more luck installing that - all the required libraries should be packaged directly in the image.

Thanks for covering this, ToZ. If OP returns with more questions, please feel free to direct him to the MX Linux Forum--you already have enough to cover here.
