I should have given an example. I mean that i can't write the name of a hidden file like .bashrc or I can't write a number like 1.2 etc.....

What happens when you try? How do you become root?

nothing happens, but if I use the ls -a command the name of hidden files is correct.

.ps: I accessed this ssd from another pc with an ssh connection: no problem. Then I became root and the same problem appeared..So there's no problem with the keyboard.

if I use the ls -a command the name of hidden files is correct.

So the files are there and you can see them.

Then I became root and the same problem appeared..

So if you run ls -a from root, you don't see those files? Are you in the same directory? Use "pwd" to see if you are.

even as root I can see those files, the problem is : I can't type a dot(.) if I am root, the command, as root, ls -a can.

Interesting. Are you using a non-English locale and keyboard configuration?

localectl

...and:

sudo localectl

localectl

...and:

sudo localectl
~$ localectl
System Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8
    VC Keymap: (unset)
   X11 Layout: fr
    X11 Model: pc105
  X11 Variant: latin9

~# localectl
System Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8
    VC Keymap: (unset)
   X11 Layout: fr
    X11 Model: pc105
  X11 Variant: latin9

I've done

~# localectl set-keymap fr

so that even the Virtual Consoles use french but the problem is still there
