Panel mail notification suppoting OAUTH

Hi,

I'm using xfce4 4.18 .

The "mail watcher" plugin doesn't support OAUTH which is now mandatory for gmail workplace accounts.

Any alternatives? is there a newer version supporting OAUTH? .

Thanks

Re: Panel mail notification suppoting OAUTH

this plugin should have each of many email services and servers in its test suite components.  when i saw this post my 1st thought was "i could use that".  my 2nd thought was "oh wait, i use gmail".

GMail allows you to use app passwords. the mailwatch plugin will work if you use an app password.

I'm not sure about Google Workspace as I've never used it. Look to see if app passwords are possible there.

Re: Panel mail notification suppoting OAUTH

Hi,

Gmail workspace (at least the one I'm using) has removed support for app passwords. Connection has to be OAUTH.

Any suggestions?.

Thanks
