The problem applications (that I know of) are Audacious music player and KeePassX password manager.
I have 2 machines running Debian 12 "Bookworm" with XFCE. One is a Lenovo laptop, and the problem doesn't occur on this machine. The other is a HP T620 "thin client". Both have display resolution 1920x1080.
On the HP thin client, Audacious and KeePassX windows have normal size text in the title bar, but the text within their window is extremely small. Looks like I can't post a screenshot, but the text in those 2 applications' windows is about 1/2 the height of text in other apps such as Thunar or Firefox. Audacious control icons (like Play, Pause, Next Track or whatever) are also about half normal size.
Oddly, if I log in to the HP thin client via ssh -X (laptop is client, HP is server) and run Audacious on the HP by typing audacious at the command prompt, the Audacious window displays on the laptop screen with everything normal size.
This might have something to do with GTK vs Qt (?? I don't understand much about that.)
Thanks much if anyone has ideas to resolve this.

In the Debian forum, someone suggested File menu, Settings, Restart in GTK mode. The interface is different, but the text size is the same, so it wasn't a solution.

I use Settings/Appearance - Fonts - DPI: Custom DPI settings (increase from 96 to maybe 144).
That might affect other applications, but after some tuning, eventually it's possible to set everything properly.

There is an application in the Debian repo to set up QT apps under GTK environments.
apt update && apt install qt5ct
Siduction
Debian Sid
Xfce 4.18

Thanks much, eriefisher. (Not getting notifications - didn't see your post until today.) That is the solution. "LinuxOS" posted more details on the Debian forum: https://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=160587.
