https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/1388 identify mount points
https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/-/issues/83 ancient similar issue, incorrect permissions -initially
I'm using systemd-mount for real drives and qcow2 images and initially they display in thunar with the wrong permissions. F5 Refresh corrects the situation.
systemd-mount --automount=yes --timeout-idle-sec=60 /dev/disk/by-label/sample ~/Public/.sample
These mounts are declared in ~/.profile. The ‘units’ are transient, without any /etc/systemd or fstab declarations. I tried lots of variations until I figured out the simple F5 action. I thought that if the mount point is identified for an emblem then the same mechanism could also instruct thunar to do an automatic refresh upon initial entry into these directories?
