What could be the reason why xdg-screensaver status returns disabled on my main user account, even though I have Xfce screensaver option checked to Start on login on Session and Startup > Application Autostart.
On another user account on this system, with the same option checked, xdg-screensaver status returns "enabled", as expected.
Perhaps the correct question should have been Why is xfce4-screensaver disabled despite it is configured to start at login? But I am not sure that this is exactly the case.
All I know is that it doesn't activate when it should, but the lock feature do work. and when unlocking screen after dpms has blanked i can see for an instant the xfce's mouses of the screensaver. Is seems that something is inhibiting it or it activates after the screen is reactivated...
Another question could be How can i troubleshoot? Which files/folders should I check, or delete that could be interfering with the screensaver.
Actually, I've never had a good relation with xfce's power saving features ... But let's go step by step.
Running xfce 4.18 on MX Linux 23.4 (Debian 12 base)
