Hiya all,
I'm using Xfce with Fedora. This install is only a day old; I installed it yesterday using the "Everything" ISO.
Everything was working perfectly until about an hour ago, when something slightly strange happened. The Desktop settings (Background, Menus, and Icons) disappeared. The background was returned to the default Fedora 40 background, and I can't find any way of changing it back. The Desktop section of settings is gone, and doesn't show up when I search for it using appfinder. I don't know exactly when it happened, I just suddenly noticed it. I haven't even really been poking around and customising Xfce much at all (unlike apparently everyone else on the internet I quite like the default theme and layout). Also, right clicking on the Desktop doesn't do anything now.
What should I do?
(Here's a screenshot of Settings):
I think there was a second row of the "Personal" section in maximised settings yesterday, with two items, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

I posted too soon. I had installed and sequentially uninstalled mousepad, galculator, and thunar. For some weird reason, the package xfdesktop was uninstalled as an unused dependency of thunar, but reinstalling only thunar didn't reinstall it. I had to reinstall mousepad and galculator too... strange.
Anyway, the problem is fixed.
