Login problem [solved+-]

For the last two weeks or so when I log on, I get almost every time a message that I am a robot, that the data is being sent too fast (I have adsl which is quite slow) and that I often have to go through verification. I have been using the same pc, the same system and the same browser for years and it has never happened to me before (I always log in the same way). It is very annoying, what can be done?

Re: Login problem [solved+-]

Does it happen with any other sites or just this one?

Have you tried with another browser or a clean browser profile (in case an extension is triggering something)? Which browser are you using?

Re: Login problem [solved+-]

I'm still running fedora 35 and firefox 107 (according to the rule "if something works, don't touch it" smile ), as add-ons I have only "I still don't care about cookies" and "Privacy Badger".
I've tried with Firefox 115esr and there is no problem in spite of login faster than in 107...
I'm a bit surprised because I haven't changed anything in 107, the only thing that has changed has been add-on updates. I will try new profile.

Re: Login problem [solved+-]

I thought that this has to do with my firefox's password auto-type mechanism.  Meaning: the login data has been filled in in such a high speed (vs manual typing) that the time between calling the login page and pushing the login button is too low.
My workaround is to wait a few seconds before clicking on the login button.

Re: Login problem [solved+-]

I have switched to Firefox 128.4 ESR and the problem continues (even without add-on's).

Are you manually typing in your username and password or are you relying on firefox's built-in password manager to automatically fill in the data?
If latter, did you try to wait a few seconds before hitting the login button on the login page?

Re: Login problem [solved+-]

I have solved it by checking "log me automatically each time I visit", now it logs me in directly without any problem.  smile
