Cannot get correct keyboard layout

Hi all,

I have been having problems with finding the right keyboard layout. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Gen 2 laptop with a Swedish keyboard and an external one I am mostly using. It's a HP KU-1469 and mostly US layout. Keys are working with English US layout but the problem is the compose key.

Single-line Enter key, so to the right of the P are these keys: [ ] \
The keyboard has the following keys left of the space: Ctrl - Fn - Super (Win) - Alt.
To the right of the space bar: Alt - menu - Ctrl.

I would love to get the right Alt to be the compose key but for some reason, it types o acute when I am trying to compose A ring or something. Other compose combinations do work. When I set the menu key to be the compose key more combinations work but muscle memory prefers right Alt.

I don't want dead keys from the keyboard itself, only use compose.

So I am struggling with getting the right keyboard model to start with. I found a way to show the layout graphically for one keyboard, but how do I get a list of all the keyboards on the system? And how do I install more? Or create one?

Thanks!
