Hi,
This isn't a strictly XFCE question but maybe someone here could help.
I'm trying to create a bootable Windows 10 installation USB on Debian 12 (actually SparkyLinux rolling which is a derivative).
I've downloaded the iso file from MS.
Followed this: https://shrtn.escalar.pt/Knbm :
created an NTFS primary partition on the usb
mounted the iso + usb
rsynec the iso contents to the usb
did
ms-sys -7 /dev/sdc ; sync and unmounted the usb.
Booting the PC with the usb inserted I get "Disk is not bootable".
Any solutions?
Thanks

The instructions you provide in the link are extremely old and ms-sys seems to also be very old and unsupported. There is a link at the bottom of that page that has some more current instructions. Have you looked there?
But it's all right, when you're all in pain and you feel the rain come down
It's alright, when you find your way, then you see it disappear
It's alright....

I've had really good luck with Ventoy: https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy. Makes adding bootable ISOs as simple as copying the file.

Greetings!
Though I have no need/use for this procedure, here is the link to a pretty good discussion for creating a windows-bootable thumb drive, @ https://itsfoss.com/bootable-windows-usb-linux/
