How do I stop the autodimming when I am switching between two windows on the screen ?
For example, when I have a browser open on the left side and a video on the right side, when
I switch to the browser , the video is autodimmed and vice versa.
I want to stop this behavior. In version 4.18 this did not happen.
Can anyone help ?

Don't sure this change in 4.18 => 4.20... maybe from 4.20 your compositor start working? :-)
As i know, this options is long time avaiable in Xfce, but not se as default, can you check in "Window Manager Tweak/Compositor" if "Opacity of inactive Windows" is set to most right?

Yes it is set to the most right position.
I want to REMOVE this autodimming.
I don't want it.

Not sure if "autodiming" you mean same as i... but i write about transparenting all inactive windows, this behavious is disabled when move most right, as oposite when you move to half, then all inactive is half-transparent, if move to most left all inactive is total transparent (=invisible)...
Can you make a screenshot of your situation?

As K3dar mentions, it' likely the transparency settings in Window-Manager Tweaks>>Compositor. You can adjust the transparency to your liking or even shut the compositor off if you prefer. You would lose the 3D effects such as shadows etc.

I don't have access to an image hosting site.
If you know of an easy way to do that I would be happy to take a screenshot.
When I go to Windows/Tweaks/Compositor, all of the opacity sliders are
set to the MOST RIGHT 100%. So it can't be that.

Please see above.

as eriefisher wrote, you can try complete disable Compositor, to see if "autodiming" is from some of his functions
for image i longtime use https://postimages.org
- can be use for direct link to image
- file is only accessible to those who know the link
- is free and not need registration
- even without login you can latter delete uploaded image
(only you must note url for delete as showed after upload (and only for you and once once) )
(if you make registration(free) then you have list of all uploaded and each have Trash icon)
for video not sure, recently i try find some simply non-social-portal and found only one: https://upload.nolog.cz
- file is only accessible to those who know the link
- is free and not need registration
- but maximum time for link life is 7days

It can be done from directly inside xfce4-screenshooter. Instead of saving a pic a sending it somewhere else you can choose to use Imgur. It will give you a link you just paste here.
