Thunar copy&paste fail

Thunar's right click menu copy&paste functionality quit working. I've never seen this before and another computer was also in a strange state where thunar went blank. There was heavy network traffic with other computers also.

The blank example reported busy and I did kill it, restarted thunar and all was well there.

For the copy&paste fail example I explored a bit. Drag-n-drop functionality worked fine. Paste and paste into folder was greyed out from the right click menu. Copy seemed active but did not transfer the file path for example to a text area, so apparently was not working.

Closing thunar and starting over and a ‘thunar -q’ didn't clear the issue. A logoff cycle did clear the issue. Neither computer was rebooted and all is back to normal. None of the ongoing background server processes were disturbed.

I was doing large ‘middle click’ copy and paste between networked computers, across x2x, spice, or maybe even vnc - mentioned as odd copy&paste activity.

Also I'll mentioned a barfed transfer to a windows computer with a ‘bad argument’ fail due to an unsanitized file name.

On stable Debian 12. Any ideas what choked?
