Hi all,
I have a weird issue with the keyboard setting.
I have a machine with multiple accounts with same desktop for the students. Given that they are used to different keyboard layouts (but default is local Slovenian), I set up two layouts (EN_US, SI) and a layout switcher widget. They connect to the machine using their individual accounts via xrdp.
the problem is, the layout setting revert back to EN_US each time they login, again.
So..the setting is like this:
After setting this setting, everything works as supposed: SI is default, I can change layouts using the widget, it works as it should.
If I, however log out (again, it's xrdp remote session if it matters), next time I log in, I see "US" flag on the widget (=it doesn't remember my last setting NOR recall the default keyboard layout). When clicking on the widget, I get a blank space instead of SI layout. It is the same if I only set up one layout (it revert from local to US).
In pictures:
1) Before logging out, I see the widget like this, everything is as it should be:
2) After logging out and logging in, again, it is like this:
(and the keyboard reset to US English). Furthermore, when clicking the flag, I get blank (and layout doesn't change):
If I then open the settings, everything is OK as in image 1 (same image as it is the same as before):
Then, I have to remove + add one of the layouts, again to make it work for the current session.
BTW, just typing "setxbkmap si" works OK.
How can I make this work? the problem is, I have this desktop for multiple accounts (students) and would really like it to just work for them.
thanks!

Yes, indeed, thank you, I had to generate keymaps for xrdp and it works like a charm!
