Hello!
Used my gihub account to register with xcfe gitlab, but found nothing, where I an file a bug.
How to do it for this propblem:
Short description
- click the Whisker Menu button in your panel
the whisher menu opens, an control acting as commandline on top
- enter a command and press enter
not my command will be executed, but a Libre Office Database Wizard
The BUG is:
- no error message about a probably not found command
- wrong application will start
- no errorlog has been written
This is really bad behavior
Thanks,
Manfred

on https://gitlab.xfce.org click to Project, in search bar type : whisker
and is show: https://gitlab.xfce.org/panel-plugins/x … enu-plugin
on left panel click on Issues...
not know what is "command" you try run from Whisker Menu search/command bar, but in general for me:
- if typed is recognised as command, as "application" is selected "Run <typed_command>"
- if typed is recognised as application, then is selected this application
- not sure what exact rules, but is possible some type of typos, as missed characters, ex. if type: vvad then still filter app: Vivaldi
- and typing is not recognised, then show "big" banner in active color with "No applications found" and pressing Enter do nothing
Added later 13 min 08 s:
EDIT: anyway for run command is i think better use xfce4-appfinder which is by default assigned (as xfrun4 symlink) to alt+f2 hotkey, in this you have also history of typed commands

To use the Whisker Menu to run a command in a terminal you must use the "!" before it.
! htopWhisker menu can do many thing this way. To see what, right click on the Whisker Menu icon and select properties then the search actions tab.
But it's all right, when you're all in pain and you feel the rain come down
It's alright, when you find your way, then you see it disappear
It's alright....
