XFCE screenshot tool stopped uploading to imgur

I use MX Linux with XFCE. I haven't used screenshot tool in a while but today when i tried to upload screenshot to imgur i get 'Failed to upload screenshot'. I don't know if the problem is with the imgur script that is in /usr/libexec/xfce4/screenshooter/scripts/imgur-upload.sh or there is a change in the api of the imgur website, but it can't upload screenshoots anymore.

Re: XFCE screenshot tool stopped uploading to imgur

Which version of MXLinux?
Which version of xfce4-screenshooter?
Anything in ~/.xsession-errors?
Depending on version, do you have ~/.local/share/xfce4/xfce4-screenshooter-imgur.log? If so, can you post it?

It works for me with xfce4-screenshooter version 1.11.1

Re: XFCE screenshot tool stopped uploading to imgur

I just recently deleted an email from imgur. I think it was mostly about privacy policy updates and of course I didn't read it. However, I just tested xfce4-screenshooter and it works just fine with imgur under x11.

MX Linux version is 23.

xfce4-screenshooter version is 1.11.1

This is the error log in .xsession-errors after i try to upload to imgur:
/usr/libexec/xfce4/screenshooter/scripts/imgur-upload.sh: 40: jq: not found
/usr/libexec/xfce4/screenshooter/scripts/imgur-upload.sh: 43: jq: not found

I don't have this file: ~/.local/share/xfce4/xfce4-screenshooter-imgur.log

You will need to install the "jq" package.

Re: XFCE screenshot tool stopped uploading to imgur

I installed jq package and now uploading screenshot to imgur works but the upload gui window has changed. I think the old window was better because it had more options for copy the link, but at least now it works.

Re: XFCE screenshot tool stopped uploading to imgur

It should have the copy link and the delete link. The link should also be copied to the clipboard.
