Empty menu Applications in xfce4.

Hi!
Today, after the next standard packet updating (manually) in the XFCE4 on Debian, installed through Termux, I caught a strange and in no way soluble problem.
I have stopped opening the application menu in XFCE4.
When you press the application menu button in Taskbar, instead of a menu with a list of applications, what is shown by a red arrow in the screenshot appears.
The same (with the application menu) occurs when you try to call this menu through the right mouse button on the desktop (when you try to call the application menu item). Instead of a list of applications, a gray large dot simply appears and nothing more.

What I tried:

1) temporarily delete the entire XFCE settings folder. After restarting DEBIAN, the application menu does not work anyway.
2) Delete and install XFCE4 again. The application menu does not work again.
3) Delete the application panel itself and add it again through the settings of Taskbar. After deleting and a new addition, the application menu button is added without problems through the list of elements in the taskbar, but the application menu does not work.

I don’t know what else can be done to return the application menu in XFCE4?

Re: Empty menu Applications in xfce4.

Should be fixed by https://github.com/termux/termux-packag … dcc36e01f5 (we discussed this today on matrix #xfce)

Yes, this is probably the very problem that I have encountered.
Unfortunately, my user experience in Linux is very modest, and therefore I did not quite understand. What needs to be done to fix this problem?
As far as I understand, there you need to download some kind of script and "hot patch" for correction. But what really - I still did not understand.
Could you please tell me step by step, for the "newbie"?

Ah sorry I don't really know either, I don't use termux, I just chatted with a maintainer to help him with xfce. Maybe you'll know more by reading the issue quoted in the commit.

In general, if only patch (or changes in master) is present, then only way is self compiling from source code...

But in your situation i think you simple wait until updated termux package arrived to termux repostitory,
and i see problematic glib package is updated before some hour, so i think with already this fixes...

so you simply in termux update all packages:

pkg update && pkg upgrade

Re: Empty menu Applications in xfce4.

Everything turned out exactly as it is written above!
The problem was in the GLIB package, which contained an error in version 2.84.0.
It was necessary to wait for correction with a new package of 2.84.0-1 in the Termux repository.
And this package has already appeared there.
As advised above, I just updated the package through standard commands in Termux:

pkg update && pkg upgrade

And now the application in xfce4 is opening again.

Thank you very much for your help!
