Dual monitor positioning

I am using Xfce 4.20 with a dual monitor setup with a laptop screen and external monitor. Physically, the external monitor is above the laptop screen.  But when I try to move the monitor above the laptop screen in the Xfce display settings and click Apply, it is automatically repositioned below the laptop screen.  Is there a way to get Xfce to recognize that the monitor should be above the laptop screen?

Re: Dual monitor positioning

If you always connect to the same screen the method in this video may be of use:
On Youtube find a video by Chris Titus tech entitled "Linux Monitor Resolution and Positioning that Never Resets"
